Grasshopper plane from curve
WebApr 1, 2010 · you'll have to create a pane surface that exceeds the curve boundingbox, then intersect curve and surface. I believe in Rhino5 we're adding special curve/surface/brep/mesh -> plane intersection algorithms. --. David Rutten. [email protected]. Poprad, Slovakia. WebAug 20, 2014 · Grashopper has a component called “Perp frames.” Ostensibly this will create frames perpendicular to a curve. Why not just use this? Because it is a false friend. A perp. The orientation of the perp frames is completely unpredictable. Sometimes the Y axis points up, sometimes down. Maybe you can get it to work, but I had to give up Share this: WebMar 17, 2024 · well first of all my curve is a dome like curve. it is composed of a couple of thousands of points. it is such a function, Z=An*x^a+ blah blah blah.. and 2
WebIn this Rhino Grasshopper tutorial, we are going to model a parametric rotating 3d pattern on a curve (closed or open) and then convert it into a smooth mesh. WebRetrieve planes from curves. For planar curves, we can use Planar not only to verify the curve’s planarity, but also to find the plane that the curve is in. Unlike Curve Frame, …
WebJan 3, 2024 · Grasshopper is very sensitive about the location of geometry to join, so always make sure the curves are actually touching. If the objects are on different planes, project both curves onto a common plane before applying the Join Curves command.
Webhi guys, i have a set of parallel planes on top of which are curve sets that i wish to combine into one closed curve on each plane. "region union" would be my weapon of choice here. unfortunately, it doesn't do what i want. i shrinked the problem into a lean definition. pls find attached. solid union the brep before sectioning is not an option for performance reasons.
WebMay 23, 2024 · Grasshopper can seemingly recognize “planar curves”, or at least the tool tips I’ve looked at says so.
