Fossils were discovered by a hiker who reported the find to Parks Canada; this brought the site to the attention of scientists who were able to study the site and describe the new biota. WebbGlacier Trail near Banff is a great trail for the whole family. There is a lot to experience on that 5-km long path. Steep climbs, stunning viewpoints, lush forests, rushing waterfalls and last but not least the large boulder fields at the upper end of the hiking trails.
